Sandy Cliff Overlook and Lake Channel Overlook Trails — Lake James State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Lake James is such a gem of a park in this part of the state that visiting is a must on your dog’s hiking list. With only four designated trails in the park, and none difficult, Lake James is not the place for an energy-packed workout but rather for a quick, low-stress hike through beautiful country with your dog.

Since the focal point at this park is the lake, most visitors come to swim, fish, boat, and picnic, and you are very likely to have the trails all to yourself."
