"I’m going to take you by the hand and lead you on a 5.5-mile loop trail that takes in the best of Panthertown Valley: waterfalls, granite cliffs, a rare Appalachian bog, a dense white pine forest, and a sea of some of the best ground cover around."

Took the panther town trail loop 9 miles total. Long and cold experience! 30 degrees the entire hike. But the view and hike it’s self was beautiful. Start early in the day with the hike. There are many trails that lead in to each other. Bring a trail guide map!

Thoroughly enjoyed the Panthertown wilderness and the scenery. I followed the trail guide with some embellishments, to make it a bit longer and to allow for some exploring, but i did stick to the main loop described as my base. This guide was very accurate, and easy to follow. I only saw one marked trail that had a yellow diamond. The area is not all that difficult to navigate if you can read a map. The scenery is fantastic, waterfalls, mountain vistas, and rich valley forests, wildflowers, and much more. I will be back.
