This hike travels past modern sports fields and picnic pavilions in Reedy Creek Park, before accessing the remote southeast corner of Reedy Creek Nature Preserve. The majority of the hike follows the peaceful Sierra Trail through pine and holly trees to reach the Robinson Rockhouse Trail. From there it is a short trek out to the 200-year-old ruins of a Mecklenburg County farmhouse. Take your time exploring the houses remnants of the foundation and fireplace before retracing your steps back to the trailhead.
