Welch Ridge Trail

Welch Ridge Trail is a hiking and horse trail in Swain County, North Carolina. It is within Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is 6.3 miles long and begins at 5,425 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 12.7 miles with a total elevation gain of 2,813 feet. The Welch Ridge ridge, Mount Glory (elevation 4,970 feet), Bearwallow Bald, Silers Bald, Mount Glory, and Hawk Knob, and the Water Oak Gap and Mule Gap saddles can be seen along the trail. This trail connects with the following: Hazel Creek Trail, Cold Spring Gap Trail, Jonas Creek Trail and Appalachian Trail.
