Low Gap Trail

Low Gap Trail is a hiking and horse trail in Tennessee and North Carolina. It is within Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is 5.3 miles long and begins at 2,214 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 0.8 miles with a total elevation gain of 169 feet. The Cosby CG Kiosk information office is near the trailhead. The 37 (elevation 2,989 feet) camp site and the Walnut Bottoms Cemetery grave yard can be seen along the trail. This trail connects with the following: Appalachian Trail, Snake Den Ridge Trail, Cosby Nature Trail, Lower Mount Cammerer Trail, Camel Gap Trail, Big Creek Trail and Cosby Horse Trail.
