Toms Creek Falls Professional Review and Guide
"We didn’t know what to expect when visiting Toms Creek Falls. All we had was a slip of paper from the McDowell County Chamber of Commerce that described it as “a gentle falls in a picturesque area.” We were surprised to find a 100-foot waterfall with sections of sheer drops 5–30 feet and a tiny pool at the base—a perfect mountain “cold tub” for two. Car-size boulders are scattered throughout the poplar-oak forest surrounding the falls."
