Fisher River: Surry CR 2258 Bridge to Rockford Professional Review and Guide
"The author feels the Fisher is the ideal stream for the novice to begin his or her fast-water paddling. It presents no very difficult rapids, having primarily small riffles, but it does require one to maneuver the craft and read the water well. The banks are pretty, with many hillsides solid with rhododendron. For the most part there is little evidence of habitation. In the spring, the Fisher appears to teem with wildlife. For a nice leisurely paddle, try this run."
