Jonathans Creek: Haywood CR 1394 Bridge to the End of CR 1338 Just Above the Confluence with the Pigeon Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Jonathans Creek heads up at Black Camp Gap (elevation 4,522 feet), just off the Heintooga Overlook Road from the Blue Ridge Parkway at Soco Gap. It plunges down through Maggie Valley before turning north along US 276 and joining the Pigeon below I-40.

is primarily a fast run over gravel bars through farmlands above Cove Creek. Below, it changes to more of a ledge-type stream, cutting a small gorge as it rushes to the Pigeon. This is a good trout stream, so the paddler should be as considerate as possible of the trout fishermen encountered along the way."
