Hanging Rock State Park

Hanging Rock State Park Professional Review and Guide

"Waterfalls, a lake, rock cliffs, amazing views, and several unique natural features all greet you at Hanging Rock State Park. With so much to explore, this is a hiker’s dream, but the
activities are certainly not limited to that. Climbers frequent the park for a number of cliff walls that can be found here.

There’s a small lake with a swim area and a fishing pier, and you can rent a canoe or rowboat on the weekends. No private boats are allowed on the lake, but there is a canoe/kayak or tube
launch at the north end of the park, where you can access the Dan River with your own craft."
