Great Smoky Mountains National Park-Tow String Horse Camp

Great Smoky Mountains National Park-Tow String Horse Camp Professional Review and Guide

"There are only two campsites available, but they sit alongside a swift-moving creek, making this quite a nice location. Far more primitive than the neighboring Smokemont Campground, Tow String is designed for campers who bring their own horses along to enjoy the miles of bridle trails available nearby.

Rustic horse “stalls” are provided as hitching posts, so “Mr. Ed” can enjoy the sounds of the creek as well. Pets are allowed in campgrounds but are not permitted on any of the trails within the park."
