University Research Park Trail

University Research Park Trail Professional Review and Guide

"This trail follows a 1.2-mile section of the much larger 7.1-mile-long Clark’s Creek and Mallard Creek Greenway through the Charlotte University Research Park. The research park, operated by the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and used for research in horticulture and environmental-science projects. Don’t be surprised if you encounter a few students or professors collecting data along the trail. This route begins at the Countryside Montessori School and runs through a beautiful mature pine-and-hardwood forest before ending at Research Drive. The trail is great for running and biking, and on each side of the trail is a soft, grassy swath that is exceptionally easy on the knees."
