This little secret singletrack gem lies hidden only a long wheelie’s ride from the Charlotte Coliseum. Don’t be fooled as we were into expecting a smooth, cruising trail set up for Buffy on her Huffy, though. What begins with a friendly dirt path quickly turns into rock-and-root-strewn singletrack of surprising meanness. Pyramids and log crossings abound. Ugly, tech 3+ descent halfway in requires concentration, courage, or the sense to walk it. Tread: 4.4 miles of singletrack; 0.3 mile of gravel doubletrack.

This was a great place for us to hide while in college, not too far out of town and a good workout!

The trails are not in downtown CLT,not even close. Take I77 south to a right on Tyvola, after you pass over Tryon it will be the second right, directly across from the golf course entrance. There are soccer and softball fields there... As for the riding the length is 6.8 miles and is very fast/up & down on one side and more technical and rooty on the other. Once you get there you'll understand what I am talking about. It is a good overall test of your skills in most areas - you'll enjoy it!
