Reedy Creek Park and Nature Preserve Preserve Loop

Reedy Creek Park and Nature Preserve: Preserve Loop Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This hike explores the southwest corner of Reedy Creek Nature Preserve. The route starts at the Reedy Creek Nature Center parking area and veers left toward Dragonfly Pond. After exploring the water habitat on the south shore of the pond, the hike then travels south to pass underneath deciduous magnolia trees on the Umbrella Tree Trail. The Umbrella Tree Trail then connects with the Big Oak Trail.

The Big Oak Trail is aptly named for the beautiful century- old oaks that line the path and grow amid a garden of tall boulders. The hike nears Plaza Road before looping back to conclude at the Reedy Creek Nature Center. Catchy and informative exhibits inside the nature center will interest both children and adults."
