Catawba Riverfront Mountain Bike Park

Catawba Riverfront Mountain Bike Park Professional Review and Guide

"This 12-mile loop (mostly singletrack, with some doubletracks) along the Catawba River has sections as demanding as anywhere in Charlotte. It draws riders from all over the southeast to compete in and train for races.

This trail can be extremely demanding as it winds through a young forest. Some sections call for precise handling for a clean run between two tree trunks, with less than an inch of clearance. on either side of the handlebars."

Great, well maintained trails. For me, this trail is technical and physically demanding. The monster drop is definitely a monster - straight down. A good trail for moderate or better riders.I have seen it rated as moderately tech. and moderately aerobic, it is the toughest trail I have ridden around Charlotte.

Also don't ride at least for 3 days after a good rain. Lets take care of our trails.

Super tech and lung busting hill climbs. The best in Charlotte. The perfect place to train.
