Campbell Creek Greenway Professional Review and Guide
"Every city should have a green space where you can go and lose yourself for a few hours. In Charlotte, it’s the Campbell Creek and McAlpine Creek greenways, which run 4.1 miles along McAlpine and Campbell creeks. This greenway also serves as a spine connecting several other trails and parks. Together, they make for an all-day-sucker of escape. Like most greenways, McAlpine follows a floodplain. Unlike most, you rarely encounter its namesake creek, which parallels the path not 40 yards away but is obscured by tree cover and brush. Occasional breaks in the woods offer benches where you can rest and take in the scenery."
