Beech Spring Mountain Bike Park Professional Review and Guide
"This 4.8-mile singletrack (with some doubletrack) loop combination expecting a short but technical ride. At the trailhead you must sign a mandatory waiver at the bulletin board and pay a $2 fee on an honor system, with signs clearly stating that failure to pay is considered trespassing. The southern section is relatively easy if you don't ride down Devil's Drop. This hellish descent offers one of three ways down: rutty, ruttier, or ruttiest. And the choice is never clear. Numerous "Optional Trails" are clearly marked and lead off the main trail. The next difficult challenge comes at Rock Dam. It's a good spot to ride the shute several times before going on to Gravity Cavity. In addition to all the technical thrills here, Beech Spring is pretty. The large trees around the creek make for a nice rest stops."
