Upper River Trail is a hiking trail in Buncombe County, North Carolina. It is within Charles D. Owen District Park. It is 0.9 miles long and begins at 2,121 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 1.8 miles with a total elevation gain of 120 feet. The Southwest Field farm is near the trailhead. There is also parking. The Upper Horse Pasture, Community Garden, Arboretum Field, Pear Double Dug Beds, Short Hoop House, Permaculture Beds, Forestry Research Shade House, Hog Bottom, Lower Northwest Field, Lower Horse Pasture, Blueberry Patch, Landscaping Heated Greenhouse, Arboretum Landscaping Plant Garden, Lower Herb Double Dug Beds, Upper Northwest Field, Apiary, Joselyn and Parrot Hoop House, Long Hoop House, Medicinal Herb Garden, Heated Greenhouse, Apple/Pear Orchard, Cabin Double Dug Beds, and Herb Double Dug Beds farms can be seen along the trail.
