This is an excellent in-town trail that winds through some gorgeous woods with several options for different ability levels. The doubletrack is rideable by novices, though they might find some of the uphills a bit rocky. Various sections of singletrack offer up slick, off-camber roots, boulder-heading opportunities, and connecting bridges that will test your low-speed handling skills. While it seems like there are a lot of turns on this route, it’s just the clearest track to navigate. Pick almost any line you want, follow the stream, and you can’t get lost. Take an easy ride over to the UNC Outdoor Education Center Trail for some more single-tracking. Tread: 4 miles of singletrack.

This park is set up for hikers and is not set up for mt bikers. The trails are primarily for hikers and the bike trails are difficult to determine. The one bike trail, according to the map at the picnic tables, is only 0.8 miles long. The good trails are posted for hikers only. This trail should be down graded to a notable mention.
