Old Salem Creek Greenway Professional Reviews and Guides
"The Old Salem to Bethabara Ramble is one of my favorite hometown tours. The 18.3-mile distance can be deceiving because Winston-Salem is quite hilly, but the interesting and varied sights make it worthwhile. The ride begins in the restored eighteenth-century village of Old Salem and skirts the edge of downtown Winston-Salem as it moves through the historic West End neighborhood. The next section travels through Buena Vista, one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods. The route then passes through the grounds of the elegant Graylyn International Conference Center and Reynolda, with its quaint village of shops and restaurants—a great place for a break. From there you take Reynolda Road, past Wake Forest University to Historic Bethabara Park. The route then winds past the site of the old polo grounds, through Sherwood Forest and Buena Vista, on its way back to Old Salem."
