Rocky Cove Road Professional Reviews and Guides
"Starting at the French Broad River, this hike follows a steep ascent on the historic Shut-In Trail, which George Vanderbilt used to access his Buck Springs hunting lodge near Mount Pisgah. After 2 miles the trail intersects Hardtimes Road and then follows the Rocky Cove drainage down into the scenic and well-maintained North Carolina Arboretum. Once inside the arboretum, the trail parallels Bent Creek and passes beside the National Native Azalea Boundary before leaving the arboretum boundary to conclude the hike at the French Broad River."
