Great Smoky Mountains National Park: Deep Creek Campground Professional Review and Guide
"The National Park Service sure did it right at Deep Creek—at least for those camping in the RV section. Here, beautiful, wooded, and well-spaced campsites offer lots of privacy. Unfortunately the tent camping area is the exact opposite. This section of the campground is more like a giant checkerboard of tent pads right on top of one another. As with all campgrounds within Great Smoky Mountains National Park, there are no shower facilities, so plan accordingly. Although Deep Creek runs through the property, none of the campsites are beside it. Don’t be disappointed, though. In the quiet hours of the night, you can hear the sturdy flow of the creek as it rushes by.
Three waterfalls can easily be accessed via the hiking trails located within the Deep Creek area. Along with hiking the area offers equestrian trails and fishing. Several tube rentals stands are located just outside the gates of the park."
