Toms Spring Falls Professional Review and Guide
"Toms Spring Falls does not appear on official topographic maps because it was only publicized some 40 years ago. Few knew the falls existed until the early 1970s when Ray Jackson cut the logging road to access the timber management area south of Laurel Ridge. His coworkers started calling this waterfall Jackson Falls, and the name stuck for a while. These days the name Jackson Falls is falling out of favor and is now better known as Toms Spring Falls, after a prospector in this area from the late 19th century. You may also hear it called Daniel Ridge Falls."
