Sam Knob Summit and Flat Laurel Creek Trails

Sam Knob Summit and Flat Laurel Creek Trails Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The Sam Knob Summit Trail is an out-and-back trail to a perfect picture-taking spot on a high-elevation knob. Or, you can create a loop trail by combining the Sam Knob with the Flat Laurel Creek Trail, which is the trail described here.

Pass along a trail lined with high grasses and such shrubby vegetation as mountain laurel, azalea, rhododendron, and berry bushes, as well as many colorful wildflowers in spring, such as the delicate-looking thyme-leaved bluets, and asters and goldenrod in fall."
