Blue Ridge Pastures

Blue Ridge Pastures Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Take a hike on protected conservation land, roughly paralleling the Blue Ridge, to a grassy mountaintop with stellar views of the Black Mountains, Hickory Nut Gorge, and other nearby peaks and valleys. The Trombatore Trail is your pathway to the open meadows. The path drops into a wildflower-heavy valley before making its way to Blue Ridge Pastures, where grand vistas will be your reward.

Blue Ridge Pastures is a grassy grandstand from which you gain spectacular views of the Black Mountains to the north and the Hickory Nut Gorge to the east, as well as Bearwallow Mountain rising to the south and southeast. Thanks to the Carolina
Mountain Land Conservancy, hikers like us can access these stellar panoramas."
