The doubletrack climb up Spencer Branch Road goes past incredible views on the steady climb toward Johnnys Knob and Whetstone Mountains. With some bushwhacking and advanced map reading, it is possible to connect this trail to Buckeye Trail. This ride gives tremendous views of Pisgah's outstanding mountains: Table Rock and Hawksbill, just to name two.
