Winding its way through rhododendron tunnels and laurel thickets alongside Lake Fontana, this loop is easy to follow. You'll spend much of the ride gradually climbing the ridge before making a heart-stopping descent to the bottom. Highlights: Creek crossings, Lake Fontana, views of Smokies, single track through rhododendron tunnels

This is a SOLID intermediate trail with a few pretty brutal switchbacks, very technical climbs, and some of the trickiest roots on the planet. Most of the first 6 miles is a slow climb, but you do get some flats and downhills along the way. Check your brakes before the long, winding downhill at the end of the trail. It's a blast!!!
