Wolf Point Professional Review and Guide
"This small reservation town enthusiastically advertises its Wild Horse Stampede, an annual event held the second weekend in July. The event actually began at the turn of the century as an Indian day for riding and celebrating. But it wasn’t too long before the local cowboys joined in, riding untamed horses wildly through the town’s streets for sport.
The word rodeo wasn’t even in use yet but Wolf Point had created its own! Today the Stampede is a top professional rodeo and still features a Wild Horse Race. There are parades, a carnival, music, and lots more. This eTrail provides detailed information on family-friendly things to do. The destinations include: Nellie Park, Wolf Point Museum, Sherman Park and Shumway Gazebo, Borge Park and Pool, and Toav's John Deere Tractor Collection and Museum."
