Renova Hot Springs Professional Review and Guide

"Two hot water seeps located on the banks of a side channel of the Jefferson River. Volunteers have constructed rocklined pools that allow cooler river water to mingle with the thermal water, providing a variety of soaking temperatures. Renova Hot Springs consists of two areas of hot water seeps 15 yards apart on a side channel of the Jefferson River. Volunteers have built rock pools around the seeps in the river channel, and river water flows through and over the rock walls of the pool to mix with the 110- to 122-degree-F thermal water.

The two hot water pools farthest downstream are the nicest for soaking; one will comfortably hold three to four people, while the second pool is perfect for solo soakers. A third pool 15 yards upstream is often washed out by the river but can comfortably hold two or three if the river level isn’t too high. You take your chances with Renova Hot Springs, because the river level determines whether the springs are submerged, are mixed just right for a nice soak, or are too hot to enjoy. Primitive, although the downstream pools have had concrete applied to strengthen the natural rock walls."

This was something like a scene out of the movie "Deliverance". My husband got shot at.. when I arrived..... there were booze bottles everywhere.. no toilets.. so you can imagine what was in the bushes.. after I picked up the booze bottles, dirty underwear, and empty condom wrappers... I felt like throwing up.. but waited for my husband to get there.. who was behind me.. and who was the one who got shot at on the way out.. with a high powered rifle at close range... No.. I'd stay away from this one! I hate to say this.. but it's a poor white trash hang out...
