Rowe Lakes Professional Review and Guide

"A day hike from the Akamina Parkway (formerly Cameron Road) to Upper Rowe Lake, 3.9 miles (6.3 km) one-way. This trail provides pleasant day- hiking opportunities for hikers with a range of abilities. Lower Rowe Lake and Rowe Meadows can be reached without strenuous exertion, while Upper Rowe Lake requires a stiff climb. The trail begins on the north bank of Rowe Creek, which it follows briefly before climbing through the lodgepole pines to the arid hillside above. After a short ascent the trail turns west, passing through the forest high above the stream.

To the southwest, the top of Mount Rowe can be glimpsed through openings in the trees. Eventually the forest comes to an abrupt end at an open avalanche slope that affords views in all directions. Mount Lineham is the tallest peak in view, hulking above the trail to the north."
