Cobalt Lake–Two Medicine Pass

Cobalt Lake–Two Medicine Pass Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"A day hike or backpack from Two Medicine lower boat dock. The trail to Cobalt Lake winds around the south shore of Two Medicine Lake, ascends the valley between Sinopah Mountain and Painted Teepee Peak to Cobalt Lake, and then continues its ascent to Two Medicine Pass and drops into the Park Creek Valley beyond.

Rockwell Falls and Cobalt Lake are popular day hike destinations, and backcountry campsites at Cobalt Lake make more extended sojourns possible. This trail is also popular with anglers bound for Lake Isabel in the Park Creek drainage."

This trail is much much harder than the hiking book said it would be, especially with an overnight pack which is almost certainly needed. After contuning over this trail to the georgeous lake isabel, we did several hikes which the author rated moderately strenous to strenous and found them unable to come close to the challenge of the two medicine pass trail.
