The Swan Crest Trail

The Swan Crest Trail Professional Review and Guide

"The Swan Crest hike runs the length of the northern Swan Range, from Inspiration Point in the south to Sixmile Mountain in the north. It remains in alpine and subalpine habitats above 6,000 feet for most of its length.

Although the overall change in altitude along the trail is never great, the trail is constantly climbing or descending, sometimes quite steeply. Snow lingers through June in some of the higher saddles along the trail, and the route is faint in spots between Inspiration Pass and the Gildart Lakes."

Wonderful scenic trail for advanced beginners up. Great loop ride of 20 miles if you so intend.
