Spotted Bear Lookout

Spotted Bear Lookout Professional Review and Guide

"This seldom-used but very accessible trail climbs to the top of Spotted Bear Mountain, which commands a sweeping view of the surrounding ranges. From the trailhead, the trail to the lookout climbs along a low sidehill, passing below a recent clearcut.

The trail soon crosses a dirt road and fords two substantial streams as it winds through a lowland forest of Douglas fir and occasional ponderosa pine. After crossing through the lowlands for a little over a mile, the trail forks into two paths."
