The White River

The White River Professional Review and Guide

"The White River is born from the glaciers of Silvertip Mountain, meanders through a high, flat basin, and then rushes down a wooded canyon to reach its confluence with the South Fork of the Flathead. The trail that follows its banks provides a major access route to the Flathead Alps, as well as to the Chinese Wall via Larch Hill and White River passes. The river provides some of the best fishing in the state in its lower reaches below Needle Falls, itself one of the scenic highlights of the trip."
