Limestone Pass

Limestone Pass Professional Review and Guide

"This trail links the Monture and Danaher valleys over the high pass that sits at the base of Foolhen Mountain. From its beginnings at the Burnt Cabin, the trail runs east for a brief time before climbing northward across a burned-over slope. All around are the swells of foothills, with Fenn Mountain rising above them all to the south. The trail ultimately surmounts a plateau, where it resumes its eastward trek. The path soon enters the valley of Monture Creek’s East Fork, where it bends to the northeast and enters unburned country. The trail climbs gradually across forested slopes far above the valley floor, with occasional openings that allow vistas of Monahan Mountain on the far side of the valley."
