River Park is located in the town of Hamilton along the Bitterroot River. The 65-acre park contains floodplain forest, riparian riverfront, quiet sloughs, and grasslands. Wide paved paths and narrow foot trails weave through the park, exploring the varied terrain, while sweeping views of the Bitterroot Mountains lie to the west. The park offers excellent bird watching, including nesting great horned owls and osprey. Moose are frequently seen in the park. During the summer, paths wander along the old oxbows at the southern end of the park.
