Missoula Area Campgrounds

Missoula Area Campgrounds Professional Review and Guide

"Missoula by far offers the greatest number of campgrounds for the area included. Most are found in heavily forested mountain valleys with clear-running, ice-cold mountain streams adjacent. Access roads tend to be either very good or very rough, with no middle ground. Recently the population has increased in the Missoula area, placing a good deal of pressure on the closer, or in some cases more scenic, campgrounds. Numerous roads dive off into any one of multiple canyons.

This eTrail contains detailed descriptions of the following campgrounds: Cabin City, Moore Lake, Cascade, Sloway, Diamond Lake, Trout Creek, Quartz Flat, Lolo Creek, Lee Creek, Chief Looking Glass, Dr. Charles Waters Memorial, Gold Creek, Blodgett Canyon, Black Bear, Rock Creek Horse Camp, Lake Como, Upper Como, Schumaker, Sam Billings Memorial, Rombo, Slate Creek, Painted Rocks State Park, Alta, Spring Gulch, Warm Springs, Crazy Creek, Indian Trees, Jennings Camp, Martin Creek, Beavertail Hill State Park, Norton, Grizzly, Dalles, Harrys Flat, and Bitterroot Flat."
