Lower Blue Mountain and Blue Mountain Motorized Loop

Lower Blue Mountain and Blue Mountain Motorized Loop Professional Review and Guide

"The system of trails at the Blue Mountain National Recreation Area is one of the first to dry out after the winter and provides a wide variety of options for beginners as well as expert mountain bikers. This section of trail is a Blue Mountain classic and provides an excellent introduction to what Blue Mountain has to offer at an intermediate level.

Riding from downtown to Blue Mountain makes for an excellent workout, but the fast singletrack described herein can be tackled by those hoping to work on speed or skills or just looking for a quick blast between the end of the workday and dinner. Care should be taken, as some of the trails are shared with other users, including motorized ATVs and motorbikes, and other trails in this network are closed to bikes. Also keep an eye out during the shoulder seasons for deer, bear, and other wildlife. Tread: Singletrack, jeep trail, and short section on gravel road."
