Larry Creek Fire Ecology Trail

Missoula, Montana

Larry Creek Fire Ecology Trail Professional Review and Guide

"The Larry Creek Fire Ecology Trail loops through aspen and willow stands and a ponderosa pine and fir forest in the foothills of the Bitterroot Mountains. The interpretive trail studies the effects of fire, and the lack of fire, on the forest ecology and wildlife. A trail brochure accompanies the hike, available at the Forest Service office in Stevensville or from the campground host at Charles Waters Campground."
