Erskine Fishing Access Trail

Erskine Fishing Access Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The Erskine Fishing Access is located in Frenchtown on the west end of the Missoula Valley. The 700-acre public site is bordered by the Clark Fork of the Columbia River to the south and pastureland to the north. The floodplain contains islands and an adjoining U-shaped oxbow bend in the river.

The 1 .5-mile fishing access trail follows the waterway as the river curves along the base of the mountains. The dog-friendly path leads through the lush riverside wetland with a rich complex of cottonwoods, ponderosa pines, aspen groves, willow bottoms, cattails, hawthorn thickets, and beaver ponds. The area is a haven for birds."
