"Charles Waters Nature Trail lies at the base of the Bitterroot Mountains adjacent to the Charles Waters Campground. The trail loops through two different habitats. The hike begins in a dry ponderosa pine forest, then winds through a lush and cool oldgrowth forest. The trail parallels a short section of Bass Creek and includes two footbridges over a small stream. Across the road from the nature trail is a quarter-mile fitness loop with 1 4 exercise stations."
