Blackfoot Recreation Corridor Overlook Professional Review and Guide
"The Blackfoot River Recreation Corridor is primarily used by boaters and anglers, but this ride offers plenty of the same scenic pleasures that draw these recreationists. In contrast with the railroad grade across the river, this route departs the river bottom quickly and provides a chance to do some serious climbing. It’s an out-and-back ride that will carry you high above the valley floor before the road eventually becomes so overgrown that continuing will be an option only for the most dedicated explorers.
Honestly, the overlook is not the most scenic in the region, but that keeps the area from being too exploited. Special care should be taken during hunting season; few people venture up this way, so game is abundant, including a variety of birds, deer, elk, and the occasional bear or coyote. If you want to combine this with Ride 18, I recommend tackling this ride first. Tread: Out-of-use logging roads and some doubletrack."
