Webb Lake

Webb Lake Professional Review and Guide

"This trail offers a taste of what the Scapegoat Wilderness looked like before the Canyon Creek fire of 1988. It features quiet woodland traveling rather than the grandeur of striking mountain scenery. This trail also connects with the East Fork of the Blackfoot Trail, providing the most direct access to this drainage."

Easy to follow, not strenuous. Mainly a horse trail. Diverse scenery. Heart Lake cut-off is a must- beautiful lake and we hear there are fish. Webb Lake is too shallow to fish, in our opinion. The topo we have shows an shelter symbol at Webb Lake- this is a locked ranger cabin and horse paddock. Good site to camp; complete with deluxe outhouse and pump. The absolute quiet was amazing. We had a good trip except for the sleet on the way out. Muddy mess after rain. Worthwhile trip. If we do this again will plan to puch on towards Parker Lake.
