Turner Falls

Turner Falls Professional Review and Guide

"Vinal Creek Trail takes you to a spectacular waterfall and a chain of turquoise lakes in the Purcell Mountains north of Libby. This rugged route was designated Pacific Northwest National Recreation Trail for its sheer beauty and popularity with day-hikers and backpackers.

The trail follows Vinal Creek through an old-growth maritime forest to a rocky canyon where Turner Falls plunges for over 75 feet. Shortly beyond the falls, you visit the Fish Lakes, a series of small lakes with decent fishing and camping. There is a good chance of encountering wildlife and edible berries along the way."
