1906 Trail - Mount Helena Summit

1906 Trail - Mount Helena Summit Professional Review and Guide

"Located on the southwest edge of downtown Helena, Mount Helena City Park. A lung-busting climb, the 1906 Trail is the least technically difficult approach to the summit of Mount Helena.

It offers classic singletrack climbing for strong riders, good views of town, and access to other trails, including the Mount Helena ridge National Recreation Trail. the trail was built in 1904, but the erroneous "1096" label has stuck."

I loved this hike! It was fairly easy! The trail was well maintained and easy to hike on! The way up was a little harder because your hiking on an incline but I feel it is good for all levels of hikers! The train winds so your not hiking directly up one side! The way down is a breeze! The view is well worth it! I would definitely do it again!

This is a good trail, if you want a challenge. It's not too technical, but it's pretty strenous. But once you make it to the top, there is a great view of Helena, and you have a variety of different trails to pick from to come back down
