It is 5.3 miles long and begins at 9,796 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 10.6 miles with a total elevation gain of 1,972 feet. The Long Lake (elevation 9,423 feet), Mud Lake (elevation 9,308 feet), and Star Lake (elevation 9,715 feet) waters can be seen along the trail.
