"The trail is best skied December through March when snow piles up 6 feet deep. As a summer trail, Autumn Creek is poorly maintained and has several challenging creek crossings-no bridges exist along this trail. The park service requests that snowshoers "maintain separate tracks for skiing and showshoeing wherever possible" so the ski tracks are not spoiled-the route is wide enough for snowshoeing next to ski tracks."
