The Birch Creek Loop

The Birch Creek Loop Professional Review and Guide

"This loop trail can be hiked as a two-day trip, or may be attempted in a single day by hikers that are in excellent physical shape. It travels through some of the most scenic landscapes in the Birch Creek country, offering views of such awe-inspiring peaks as Mount Field and Mount Patrick Gass.

The trail running along the Tubby Creek drainage is very steep and difficult to follow when approaching it from the south. The trail between the North and Middle forks has also been rebuilt, and the topographic maps currently available do not accurately reflect the true position of the trail on the landscape."
