Paradise Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Paradise is literally at the end of the road (a spur of the Magruder Corridor), bumping up against—and almost surrounded by—the Selway- Bitterroot Wilderness. This is obviously a great launch site for hiking explorations into that wilderness, and several hiking trails are available. Horse stock facilities are available, too, and so are meat racks—an indication of how popular (very) this site is with hunters. (During the end of camping season, this campground is sometimes filled with hunters.)
If you can get there early enough (after May 5 but before the end of July), you may be able to get a permit to float one of the most remote stretches of river in Idaho, the 47 miles of the Selway River from Paradise to Selway Falls. A forest service administrative office is also located nearby. No drinking water is available."
