Boulder Creek Falls Trail

Boulder Creek Falls Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Boulder Creek flows through one of the most scenic and remote canyons in the Bitterroot Valley. Views of Trapper and Boulder Peaks stretch above the sheer granite walls in this classic, broad U-shaped canyon. Mountain goats are frequently seen on the canyon walls.

The entire creek is a boulder- and trout-choked torrent, but Boulder Falls is a legendary cascade, dropping over a granite cliff. Groves of fat ponderosa pines blanket the canyon’s lower elevations. The creek is a tributary to the West Fork of the Bitterroot River in the southern Bitterroot Mountains."
