Jorden Lake Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"A long shuttle along a series of large, trout- filled lakes on the southwest edge of the Beartooth Plateau, best suited for at least three nights out. The first 5.2 miles is fairly easy, all downhill to Upper Granite Lake.
Because the trail to Upper Granite Lake stays moist until late in the season, it isn’t suited for use by backcountry horsemen. Regrettably, they frequently use it anyway, so don’t be surprised if you have to negotiate around a few horse bogs. The route is also popular with backpackers, and when you get to Granite Lake the reason for this becomes clear."
